This weekend was our big garage sale. We have been furiously cleaning and organzing our house the last couple of months in preparation for the "new living room" and now the baby. It is extremely hard to part with anything for Mike, he is a bit of a pack-rat! After sifting through all our old clothes, furniture and nicknacks we made 3 full car loads over to my friend Courtney's house for the big sale. Thankfully Mike had to part with some really dated clothes that he would still wear if he could! There were a total of 4 families that participated in the garage sale today and we had a big turnout.

Bright and early at 6:30 am Mike and I headed over to get set up for the big event. By 7 am there were people lined up at the gate in 40 degree weather ready to wheel and deal. I love to negotiate and garage sales, swap meets anything of the sort is right up my alley so I was super excited. Courtney had promised that there would be a big crowd and she was right. I was not prepared for 30+ people literally running to find the best deal when the gates opened at 8. It was complete madness!

I had been trying to sell my entertainment center on Craigs list and to people we knew without any bites so I made the poster below and it sold at the sale!! That is so great, now we truely have a blank room to start decorating!

All in all it was a huge success and we sold almost all of it!!!! It was was a great success!!

Pretty soon this new couch will be delivered to my freshly painted and decorated living room!
