9 months!

Sadie is 9 months and has changed so much!!! She weighs 21 lbs 13oz and is in the 90% percentile! What a little chunker!! She is 95% for height at 29.5 inches. I guess her slow start on the growth has really caught up to her. Sadie loves to play with Mommy and Daddy's phones and remotes. She is all over the place crawling and pulling up and frequently has bruises and scratches. She can crawl fast and stand by herself for a couple of seconds now.
I love the rolls on her body, her little wrists and thigh rolls are my favorite. Her cheeks are so big and smushy, I love kissing them. She kisses me now with a wet open mouth kiss on my cheeks and nose. I love that she really only does it me:)
She also says "mamamama" when she is wanting to be picked up and crawling after me.

Sadie loves to play with her toys and read books. She loves to dump all the toys out and throw them. She throws left handed and that makes Daddy proud!

This is the smile that I get in the morning. She is sleeping 10-11 hours at night from about 7 to 5 or 6 and then plays in her crib. She learned how to turn on the light from the switch behind her crib.

She has 2 teeth and is getting 4 more on top right now so the last couple of weeks she has been a little fussy. She is showing an independent streak when it comes to food. She loves anything she can feed herself and is not very excited about being fed. She absolutely loves avocados as you can see below!

Lately she has been fussing when I set her down or walk away. This is normal separation anxiety according to my pediatrician although it is so frustrating! I love that she wants me but sometimes I need to get something done too.
I am starting my new job on Monday so I am a little worried about how she will be. I am confident in our wonderful nanny, Amy and that makes me feel better. I have been so lucky to be home for her first 9 months, please keep me in your prayers as I start this new adventure!

Sadie loves to be naked and crawls away when I try to change her diaper!

The look that she gives when I say "no" or she is thinking. It is like,"hmm are you sure mom??"

Sadie loves to read and this is her FAVORITE book. She can turn the pages herself and always points to the same things. She also likes her touch and feel books.
Like I said, bumps and bruises! To comfort herself she always sucks those two fingers and rubs her ear. Funny because apparently I did the same as a kiddo.

Sadie is a serious kid and loves to suck her bottom lip. She looks so deep in thought sometimes. She has learned to clap her hands and does it with suck wide motions it is so funny. She also has learned "touchdown" where she raises her hands above her head. Granddaddy and Daddy are very proud and she will be all set to cheer on the cowboys!

I love you!

Sadie is into everything and loves opening drawers!

and closing them.

She blows raspberries and spit a lot!

The past 9 months have taught me so much and I am so blessed to have this little girl in our life. Thank you God!

Now if I can just get her to like tutu's as much as she loves throwing balls!

The picture of her in her crib looks exactly like you in a baby photo that I remember of you! She is absolutely precious and I bet she is going to be walking soon...little Miss Adventurous! I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. I know it is going to be hard, especially with the initial training away from home. Thinking of you always. Love to little Sadie. Can't wait to see her again!

Hey there! Love the post! Let's get together ASAP. This week is probably shot, but let's shoot for next. Even if it's just in the afternoon for an hour of play time or so. We got the "pool" so ya'll are welcome to come over and swim. :) Let's touch base this week and get it set up.

i wonder if boys and girls are on different charts?!?! at his 9 month check up yesterday hank was 21 pounds 10 oz and that was only 46%...and then 29 1/2 inches (just like sadie) and that was only 77%. weird!! or maybe doctors go by different charts?! who knows. she's adorable and i love that she has caught up (almost exactly) with hank. love this age so much!
