At the Movies


This weekend we had some fun family time.  Mike and I decided to take Sadie to her first movie.  We saw Beauty and the Beast in 3D.  It was good, a little dark at times but she seemed to enjoy it.  She was so good and sat through the whole movie.   She was such a big girl with her popcorn and glasses.

Then we went on a family walk on the Katy trail to eat lunch and then popped over to get a snow cone at the Soda Fountain.  When I was pregnant with Sadie, I couldn't get enough Snow Cones and same with this baby.  She loved them too! 

It was such a beautiful day outside and we had so much fun playing in the warm weather and enjoying the weather. 

On Sunday, Mom decided to come in and spend the night wtih S & I.  We had some girl time and made brownies!



New Baby coming soon

We found out in October that we were going to be parents again and were so excited! I am 13 weeks and we recently had our doctor tell us that he was 98% sure that we were having another girl!

Mike and I had him write it down in a card and then we went to a mid afternoon movie and were going to open it later. On the drive over, I realized that the theatre that we were going to was the one that we went to the day I had Sadie so we decided to open it at the theatre. Mike said it was a girl the whole time and that he knew he would be surrounded by girls. I was sure it was a boy because I have had so much acne and been so hungry and I was not with Sadie. So he opened it and looked at me with a smile and showed me that it said.... Wow! Two sweet girls to love and sisters that I never got to experience. I am thrilled, we will already have everything that we need too! So Sadie is excited that she is going to be a big sister and have a baby to love.

I am due on 7/9/12 and will schedule a C section around a week before. This is the day that my Mom was due with me and I was born on 7/15. It is also my my grandmother's birthday, my Mom's mother. Sadie was due on their ( my grandparents) anniversary (8/19). Makes it kind of special since I loved them so much. Now if you have any name suggestions pass them on, we are not agreeing on any currently!

Sadie's first Haircut

Sadie got her first haircut yesterday. She did not want to cooperate and so I had to hold her most of the time. She then warmed up with the lady gave her a lollypop. We just cut her babycurls off to make it look more even. She talked the whole rest of the day about how she got to get "new fast shoes" and a haircut at stride rite oh and a lollypop too. Such a big girl.

Christmas 2011

Christmas this year was so fun with Sadie. She really got into opening presents this year and we spread it out over a couple of days. She would open one present and then say "open please" she wanted to play with each one and got bored with the opening of many gifts. It is our tradition to wrap everything, including stocking stuffers and Santa so we can really drag it out.

This year we went to my parents house and Christmas Eve services at Tennison. We had a wonderful time and just enjoyed relaxing and being together.

We just got a new car for Mike so for Christmas, I put all of his baseballs in a shadow box from his best games. He loved it. I also framed all of his tickets to concerts and sporting events. Hopefully we can move soon and actually hang them!
